Bush Thinks This Will Help?
President Bush [Friday] morning gave his stamp of approval to the presumptive new leader of his party — but he may not have been doing John McCain any favors.

    I’ve read elsewhere that NeoConservatives are willing to write off this election and wait for 2012, rather than let a Republican outside the club run for office — even if they agree with him. That article propsed that Republicans also sat out 1996, 1976 and 1964 in order to get the candidate they wanted.

    I think this view is extreme, but there still might be a germ of truth in it. McCain has done absolutely everything he could do, to join the club and he still isn’t accepted. The GOP is split, and NeoCons obviously control the GOP. If there isn’t a plan to wait out 2008, there might as well be.
