Michael Landon's shows were a little corny, but I miss them. I don't have time to watch weekly shows, so I don't know what's really being shown, but they all seem so tactical and inhuman.

TV violence--Don't know Caro, maybe the point is that TV Violence and the abundant Militarism of our culture is so pervasive. Like the chocolate cigarettes they used to give to kids-as a training item for whole generaton of kids to be indoctrinated into the adult future of smoking cigarettes for fun, pleasure and lung cancer, the modern day kids can sit at their play with, as george would put it, WAR on their minds.

Just discussed by Amy on Demo Now was that the US is building a military base in Africa! Military bases in Iraq, Africa, everywhere! More money for the military every year, more that the rest of the world combined and when stated in the SOTU it gets applause from our Congress. It is always a standing applause moment for our WAR bought and WAR minded Congress.

TV violence? Are just a lessons in hate for the kids, to groome them for military slaughter.

Face it, we have a culture of violence and only a very few politicians who want to confront it.
